New Video Series: Serial Culture
I’m starting a new series of videos that contain clips from 2 US Serial Dramas (soaps) and 2 Serial Dramas from the UK. My intention is to compare and contrast the differences in the cultural values between the two countries, highlighting “what sells” in each culture.
I haven’t decided how long the series will be just yet, but I do plan on mixing it in with the other content you find here to keep things diversified around here. I know a lot of people detest soaps, but I believe the sociocultural comparison and contrast will be interesting for everyone and ask that you give it a chance. I’m not going to say much else, as I want you, dear audience, to draw your own conclusions – and I invite you to share your conclusions in the comments or via voicemail/audiocomment for discussion on the podcast.

Please Stand By, We Are Having Technical Difficulties…
My Powerbook’s DC-in board finally crashed (translation: it doesn’t take power from any source but battery anymore), and I’m in the middle of moving everything to and reconfiguring a new Macbook Pro. I’ll be posting a podcast tomorrow as scheduled.
