Windows Troubles Amidst Being Amsterdamned…
It has come to my attention that this page isn’t reading exactly well for all you Windows users out there. I am really sorry about that. I am working to solve the problem as soon as I can. I will, however, be on a Thanksgiving trip to Amsterdam until Monday afternoon, and ask for your patience as I honestly cannot give the situation deserving attention until I return. That’s the not-so-good news.
The good news is that my schedule is clearer from next week until I return to America for the Festive Winter Holiday Time, and content will be coming out with a regularity that you haven’t been experiencing for the past few weeks. I have a lot to share with you – including some very good news I got this week about a situation I haven’t been able to share with you until now – so please be patient as I reconstruct my rather deconstructed and exhausted self this weekend.

Taking The TGV Back To Paris From Milan Today…
…will be back with fresh media from Vlog Europe (among other things) tomorrow. It has been a great weekend, but I need to slither off to the station in a bit for the 7 hour ride home. Stay tuned.

GEV 33: Walking Off Jetlag
You asked for it, so this is the second in a series of videos showing Paris through the eyes of a young American girl visiting for the first time. Fresh off the plane, I take my parents and cousin Nicole for a walk through Paris to fend off the jet-lag.I will finally have time to podcast (and answer a very nice long e-mail from a supernice guy in SF that I’ve been neglecting) when I get back from
Vlog Europe in Milano next week.

GEV 32: The Grand Excuse
Here’s what I’ve been up to for the past 10 days. This is my cousin Nicole, a teenager on her first trip outside of the United States – and one of the few times she’s been out of the midwest. I do have more of these, covering things like Reims, pastries and Sacre Coeur. Send me some feedback and tell me if I should post them as a series.

Hapless and Hopeless?
Perhaps Bicycle Mark was right and I was slow on the uptake. If there is any grain of truth to this, then many of the hopes I had as a result of this election are gone.
From TNR’s The Plank:
A PUTSCH AT THE DNC?:
Some big name Democrats want to oust DNC Chairman Howard Dean, arguing that his stubborn commitment to the 50-state strategy and his stinginess with funds for House races cost the Democrats several pickup opportunities.
The candidate being floated to replace Dean? Harold Ford.
Says James Carville, one of the anti-Deaniacs, “Suppose Harold Ford became chairman of the DNC? How much more money do you think we could raise? Just think of the difference it could make in one day. Now probably Harold Ford wants to stay in Tennessee. I just appointed myself his campaign manager.”
