So I buggered, natch, off to South Africa for 4 weeks after what’s been a mountain of a past few months. There’s not much in the way of connectivity for visitors without a gargantuan effort, and definitely not upload speeds conducive to vlogging and podcasting. So to all three of you that are still patiently watching this space, I thank you for your fortitude.

The good news is I can now talk about EVERYTHING, and also have a pile of footage from all parts of this amazing country to share with you very soon. I fly back tonight. Give me a day or two to get over the jet-lag, and I’ll be back to putting out media and commentary about the gay web as soon as I am compus mentus.

= Gay Expat meltdown.

I’ll hopefully be back tomorrow with media, when my recovery should be complete. Trust, you wouldn’t want to hear any of the mush that would come from me right now.

…for 2007 to the visitors to this site from all over the world. I’ll be working hard to make this year better than ever.

It has come to my attention that this page isn’t reading exactly well for all you Windows users out there. I am really sorry about that. I am working to solve the problem as soon as I can. I will, however,  be on a Thanksgiving trip to Amsterdam until Monday afternoon, and ask for your patience as I honestly cannot give the situation deserving attention until I return. That’s the not-so-good news.

The good news is that my schedule is clearer from next week until I return to America for the Festive Winter Holiday Time, and content will be coming out with a regularity that you haven’t been experiencing for the past few weeks. I have a lot to share with you – including some very good news I got this week about a situation I haven’t been able to share with you until now – so please be patient as I reconstruct my rather deconstructed and exhausted self this weekend.

…will be back with fresh media from Vlog Europe (among other things) tomorrow. It has been a great weekend, but I need to slither off to the station in a bit for the 7 hour ride home. Stay tuned.

…when the parentals leave. It will be the first order of business as soon as they go. Sorry it’s been a slow 10 days or so with little warning.

Perhaps Bicycle Mark was right and I was slow on the uptake. If there is any grain of truth to this, then many of the hopes I had as a result of this election are gone.

From TNR’s The Plank:

A PUTSCH AT THE DNC?:

Some big name Democrats want to oust DNC Chairman Howard Dean, arguing that his stubborn commitment to the 50-state strategy and his stinginess with funds for House races cost the Democrats several pickup opportunities.

The candidate being floated to replace Dean? Harold Ford.

Says James Carville, one of the anti-Deaniacs, “Suppose Harold Ford became chairman of the DNC? How much more money do you think we could raise? Just think of the difference it could make in one day. Now probably Harold Ford wants to stay in Tennessee. I just appointed myself his campaign manager.”
